Central Ohio Upcoming Event Ideas

Hi local friends-
Anyone else sneezing up a storm with the weather going up and down? Central Ohio is *so fun* like that.

Anyways, I hope you're well this week. Like, deep-rooted well. Like "I am proud of myself for how I'm showing up in the world right now" well. I'd love to hear more about it- your life.

But this email is specifically to clue you in on a couple of upcoming events in the area that you might be interested in.

Boobies + Babies: Friday, 9/5
This is for anyone feeding their baby - at breast or bottle. Because we all need support and connection. This is a non-judgemental space to share highs and lows, tear and laughs.
PS: @alyromotdoula is offering 20 minute mini newborn photo sessions during and after our gathering! $20 off ❤️

Ohio Mom Walk: Friday, 9/5
Meet at 10am at Perry Park for coffee, giveaways, and community. Plus, don’t miss the Mabē try-on station—the perfect way to discover your new mom must-have.

Kid Friendly Rave at Skullys: Saturday, 9/6
I've never been, but it seems like such a fun concept especially for those of you who have mini rockstars. Site says its best for kids 4-12.

The Relationship That Raises the Baby: Sunday 9/14
This is primarily for expecting couples, but new parents are welcome too! Mike + I will be teaching you powerful skills to strengthen your relationship so you can communicate and stay connected to one another as you raise your family!

Mom Brew September: Saturday, 9/20
This month we're at Land Grant Brewing and welcoming Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency and the Educated Pelvis as our partners! Join in and bring a friend!

Well Woman Summit: Saturday, 9/20
If you're feeling the feels about midlife or perimenopause and want to really understand what wellness is for you in this season, I would highly recommend the experts who will be at the event sharing and teaching. (If it wasn't Mom Brew day, I'd be there!)

PS: We're also obviously getting to the BEST MONTH OF THE YEAR IN OHIO-October. Should we do a pumpkin patch meet-up together? I can organize! LMK if you'd be in for it!

Reply and let me know where we might see you!

Chelsea + Mike, Circa 2017: Me: "My brain won't let me sleep." Mike: "Just wait until tomorrow for that stuff."Me: "MUST BE NICE THAT YOUR BRAIN DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT'S PUTTING OUT FIRES EVERY SINGLE SECOND"Mike: 😐 Did I email the daycare about that form? Do we have diapers in the next size up? When was the last time I rotated the baby’s clothes? Don’t forget to thaw the milk before tomorrow’s appointment… —the endless mental tabs that keep a household running but often fall on one parent...

Don't tell the rest of the email list, but the Central Ohio crew is my favorite. Truly, though, there's something about in-person community that you just can't get online. Seeing someone's body language, making eye contact, seeing and hearing their voice, maybe even a "are you a hugger because I feel like we're friends now." Parenting is hard. Parenting without a strong support of people in your life who get it feels impossible. That's why a branch of our mission at Postpartum Together is...

Hey friend, Ever feel like every little conversation turns into a standoff after baby? 👉 One of you wants to hash it out right now. 👉 The other pulls away and goes quiet. And the harder you push, the further apart you get. It’s not that you don’t love each other. It’s that you have different processing styles. External processors lower their stress by talking it all out. Internal processors calm their stress by pulling back to think first. Same goal: Calm. Two totally different approaches....
